George Welsh

As Virginia’s seniors play their final home game Saturday at Scott Stadium, George Welsh will be watching with a well-deserved sense of satisfaction and pride. After all, many of the players he recruited four and five years ago – the ones knocked by the recruiting services and whose arrival at UVa was met with a collective yawn in 2000 and 2001 – are the ones most responsible for the team’s success in 2004.
