Liberty (Bedford, VA) defensive tackle recruit Daryl Robertson has named Virginia Tech as his favorite in previous updates. The 6-3, 300-pound prospect, who has scholarship offers from Maryland, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, attended UVa’s blue-chip day last Saturday. Did the visit sway his thinking?

“I liked it, but I still have some more decisions to make it,” Robertson said. His primary recruiter is Anthony Poindexter, who he called “a hometown boy. He’s pretty cool.”

UVa had not extended a written scholarship offer before the visit, but Robertson says “my dad talked to the coaches and they told him I should expect something in the mail. I’m not totally sure, though.”

The Cavaliers are targeting Robertson to play the nose tackle position. Of the position, Robertson, who is being recruited by most schools to play defensive tackle, says “it’s not ideal, but I’ll play anywhere. I don’t really care.”
