When the ACC Tournament opens play today, the Virginia Cavaliers will have the advantage of a bye thanks to a top four seed. Theoretically, that should benefit UVa when Friday night’s quarterfinal games roll around. Still, advancing in this event is extremely challenging as any Hoo knows.
