Add a third big-time junior to Deep Run High School’s varsity football roster. Last month, 6-0, 195-pound athlete Jordan Love, a standout defensive back/running back/wide receiver, transferred in to the Glen Allen, Virginia, high school and will join fellow top juniors Antone Exum and Jake Snyder on the Wildcats squad next season.

“Jordan has been at Deep Run for about three weeks,” Deep Run head coach Greg Kendall said. “He moved here with his mother, who was transferred from Baltimore to Richmond. He was going to the Gilman School. He and his mother were looking at various schools and which district they wanted to live in. It was pretty neat – I told them to come out and for him to have lunch with Antone and Jake and other football players. I let them be the gauge for Jordan’s decision. By the time he left, this was where he wanted to be.”

At Gilman, Love played running back and also saw action at wide receiver. On defense, he played cornerback and could well project at that position on the next level. Coach Kendall sees a lot of versatility and athleticism in Love’s game.
