The University of Virginia became the sixth school to officially offer Fork Union Military Academy prep standout Russell Bodine , who met with Cavaliers head coach Al Groh earlier this evening. Duke, Marshall, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Wake Forest have also offered the 6-4, 285-pound junior offensive lineman, who commented on the offer he picked up just hours ago.

“I definitely like UVa,” said Bodine, who met with Groh for about an hour today. He is being recruited by UVa to play center. “I wouldn’t say I’m a lifetime UVa fan. I live in Scottsville, which is only 20 minutes away, but I didn’t grow up a huge Virginia fan. I’m not a huge Virginia Tech fan, either. I’ll definitely consider the Virginia offer just like I will consider any offer anywhere.”
