2011 Class: Checking in on Dinwiddie’s Top Trio

Dinwiddie (VA) junior Chris Hall has performed well in his first season as the Generals starting signal caller. The 6-4, 225-pound Hall, whose play is starting to generate FBS attention, has led the Generals to a 3-1 record heading into tonight’s match-up against Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA).

Through four games, Hall has completed 63 of 124 passes for 1,044 yards with 11 touchdown passes and five interceptions. In addition, he has 41 carries for 279 yards and two touchdowns.

“I’m real pleased with him,” Generals head coach Billy Mills said. “He is still making some mistakes in progression reads, but he knows what they are. You can know all you want, but until you have people trying to knock you’re head off, knowing is not enough. He throws the ball well. He runs the ball well. We haven’t given up one sack yet and it’s not because our offensive line is great. Chris has done a great job of scrambling. He is making some things happen.”

Coach Mills says that Hall has shown excellent work ethic in the physical and mental areas of the game.
