2011 Profile: Lake Braddock’s Michael Nebrich

Michael Nebrich ‘s recruiting card

Lake Braddock (Burke, VA) head coach Jim Poythress, whose team is 5-2 so far in 2009, boasts one major college recruit in his senior class in offensive lineman Khamrone Kolb . Kolb, who committed to Penn State on Sunday, may not be the only major college prospect on the roster, however, as Coach Poythress is also high on the talents of junior quarterback Michael Nebrich .

Through seven games, Nebrich has completed 114 of 214 passes for nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He has thrown only one interception in the past three games and none over the past two. A gifted runner, Nebrich has rushed 118 times for 782 yards and nine scores.

“Michael is 6-1, 185 pounds, and he runs real well,” said Poythress. “He was clocked at 4.6 in the 40 on grass at UVa. He runs in the high 4.5s. He is extraordinarily elusive. I said recently that he is the most dynamic player in the region. The spread offense we run with him is difficult for people to defend. He has gotten to where he understands our offense. He threw some interceptions early on, but once he got the hang of it he really started doing well.”
