Malleck Still Working Towards Decision

Ryan Malleck is finding it difficult to settle on just one school. The Point Pleasant (N.J.) star tight end had hoped to commit somewhere this week, but at this point a decision seems unlikely. The 6-5, 235-pound prospect discussed his decision making process, including whether or not he plans to make more visits before committing anywhere.

When we had last checked in with Malleck, he was about to take a visit to the University of Connecticut. He followed through and made that visit and followed up with a 3-day trip to Central Florida. He has now taken visits to all of the schools he’s considering at this point.

“I’ve talked to a bunch of people lately,” Malleck said. “The schools are still bunched together. It’ll be a really tough decision. It might take another week. I’ll tell you one school today and I’ll tell you something else tomorrow. I go back and forth. I might go back down to some of these schools and meet some players. I’ll probably wait until the beginning of next week. If I don’t know anything by then, I’ll probably plan some visits. I hope to have a decision by next Friday at the latest.”

Malleck says he is open to new offers, but for now he is focused on a select group.
