Interest in Wilson (Portsmouth, VA) rising senior athlete Der’Woun Greene continues to grow. The 5-10, 170-pound prospect, a potential wide receiver or defensive back on the college level, has been offered by Virginia and Virginia Tech and is drawing interest from a number of other schools as well.

“More schools have been in touch,” Greene reported. “Maryland. Liberty University. N.C. State. Richmond. Duke. North Carolina. I’ve gotten letters from UCLA, Stanford, Illinois and Tennessee. I got a letter from JMU. It’s like more schools come in every other day.”

Offer-wise, “It’s just [UVa and Virginia Tech] for right now, but it’s looking more like Maryland is going to offer me. N.C. State probably will offer, too.”

Greene has visited Virginia and Virginia Tech in recent months, and he plans to return to both schools in April. On Saturday, he heads to Charlottesville for the Orange and Blue Game. Three weeks later, he’ll attend Tech’s Spring Game on April 23.
