Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA) junior Chris Holmes has undergone a physical transformation of sorts since last summer. And with class of 2013 recruiting in full swing, the timing couldn’t be better.
“He has added an extra inch or inch-and-a-half, and just his natural maturation of physique and filling out…his body has matured big-time over the last seven months,” Chancellor wide receivers coach Chris Lam said. “Now at 6’2”, 190 pounds, to be able to jump and catch and run like he can…it’s a nice thing.
“I think Coach Lazor from UVa said it best. When he saw him in January, he said Chris looked like a different person.”
Holmes, a wide receiver and defensive back for the Chargers, has been offered by East Carolina, Marshall, Ohio, Old Dominion and West Virginia. He is getting interest from a handful of ACC programs, including Boston College, Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
