Adeosun’s Stock Soars

It’s understandable if George Adeosun ‘s head is spinning a bit right now. In the past week, the Alpharetta (GA) offensive line prospect has landed scholarship offers from Virginia, Kentucky, Purdue, Oklahoma, and Missouri. He traveled to the University of Virginia last weekend and leaves for Oklahoma this afternoon.

No question, Adeosun is a hot name on the recruiting trail. Alpharetta assistant coach A.J. Merine answered why the 6’6″, 295-pound prospect was relatively unknown on the major college recruiting front until now.

“George is a different case,” began Merine. “Last year (2011), he played spot work (on the varsity) in two games at tackle. He started one game against Milton because one of our tackles had a high ankle sprain. This year, he was a starting guy. We didn’t know whether to put him at guard or tackle. We kind of had to shuffle around because one of our guys transferred to another school. The first game, he played guard. Then he went to tackle and he didn’t look back.
