Confirmed Visitors: Clemson (Updated)

Weeki Wachee (FL) senior offensive tackle Marcus Applefield arrived in Charlottesville on Saturday for the start of his official visit at the University of Virginia. This is the 6’6″, 275-pound prospect’s second trip to UVa as he made an unofficial back in June.

Applefield has already taken one official visit (Vanderbilt) and plans to take officials to Purdue (Nov. 9) and Rutgers (Dec. 6). He will announce his college choice on December 13 and will enroll at whatever school he chooses this coming January.

Applefield wasn’t the only prospect in Scott Stadium on Saturday to watch Virginia take on Clemson. TheSabre.com has confirmed the following recruits were there as well…

Tim Settle , DT, 6’3″, 310 pounds Stonewall Jackson (Manassas, VA) – Settle is one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the nation in the class of 2015. He has been to Virginia numerous times and has also spoken highly of Alabama, Ohio State, and Virginia Tech.

Raeder Frantzen, DE/OLB/TE, 6’3″, 200 pounds, Plant (Tampa, FL) – No offer from UVa

Demitri McCray-Buggs, CB/WR, 6’1″, 175 pounds, St. Vincent Pallotti (Laurel, MD) – No offer from UVa

Class of 2016

Sylvester Mayers, RB, 5’7″, 155 pounds, Glen Allen (VA) – Mayers has not been offered by UVa but did receive his first offer recently, when Cincinnati came through.
