UVA THE “BEST OPPORTUNITY” FOR JOHNS

Following UVa’s annual 7-on-7 tournament in June of 2013, Cavalier head coach Mike London and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Steve Fairchild had seen all they needed to see from Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) class of 2015 quarterback Nick Johns. Virginia offered a scholarship to the 6’3”, 215-pound signal caller, who rewarded the Cavaliers’ recruitment with a verbal commitment.

Johns revealed his college choice yesterday morning but admitted “I talked to Mike London the night before and told him I was going to commit the next day. He thinks my leadership can help get guys, especially around here.”
