Florida DE Chooses Hoos

West Orange (Winter Garden, FL) defensive end Brandon Wilson has verbally committed to the University of Virginia, giving the Hoos 21 commitments in the class of 2015. Wilson revealed his decision on Twitter earlier this evening.

Central Florida, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Carolina and Wisconsin are among the other schools that offered the 6’4″, 240-pound senior, who is rated a 3-star prospect by 247Sports, Rivals, Scout and ESPN. The Orlando Sentinel ranks Wilson as the no. 11 prospect in its Central Florida Super 60.

Wilson is Virginia’s third defensive end recruit in the class, joining 4-star South Carolina product Rasool Clemons and Philadelphia (PA) native Gladimir Paul. He is the second Cavalier commit from the Sunshine State, though he has only lived in Florida for just over two years. Wilson moved to Florida from North Carolina in August of 2012.
