A look at this week’s games in ACC football.
ACC Standings, as of Oct. 10, 2014
No. 1 Florida State (5-0, 3-0 ACC) vs. Syracuse (2-3, 0-1 ACC)
- 12:00 p.m. – ESPN
- Line: Seminoles by 24
- After needing a second-half comeback to overtake N.C. State two weeks ago, the Seminoles once again looked like the top team in the land with a 43-3 win over Wake Forest. The Orange started the year 2-0, but have lost three in a row to drop below .500.
Cincinnati(2-2) vs. Miami (3-3, 1-2)
- 12:00 p.m. – ESPN3
- Line: Hurricanes by 17
- Cincinnati is riding a two-game losing streak and is still searching for its first win over a Power 5 opponent. Miami was tied with GT last week at halftime, but couldn’t put the ball in the end zone in the final two quarters and lost by 11.
Duke (4-1, 0-1 ACC) vs. No. 22 Georgia Tech (5-0, 2-0)
- 12:30 p.m. – ACC Network
- Line: Yellow Jackets by 3
- Duke had an off week last week after suffering its first loss of the season to Miami on Sept. 27. The Yellow Jackets are tied for the Coastal Division lead with Virginia, but can take sole possession at the top with a win against Duke.
Louisville (5-1, 3-1 ACC) vs. Clemson (3-2, 2-1 ACC)
- 3:30 p.m. ESPNU
- Line: Tigers by 9.5
- Louisville lost its first ACC game of the year in early September to Virginia, but has responded in recent weeks with wins against Wake Forest and Syracuse. Clemson has won two straight since losing to Florida State. The winner of this game will be in second place in the Atlantic Division, should FSU beat Syracuse.
Boston College (3-2, 0-1) vs. North Carolina State (4-2, 0-2)
- 3:30 p.m. – ESPN3
- Line: Wolfpack by 3
- Boston College followed up its marquee win over Southern California with a 30-point win over Maine, but the Eagles lost by three last week to Colorado State. After starting 4-0 and looking like a possible contender, the Wolfpack lost to Florida State by 15 and then fell to Clemson 41-0 last week.
North Carolina (2-3, 0-2) vs. No. 6 Notre Dame (5-0)
- 3:30 p.m. – NBC
- Line: Fighting Irish by 16.5
- North Carolina fell behind early to Virginia Tech last week and couldn’t overcome the deficit. The Fighting Irish, allowing just 12 points per game, are coming off a last-minute win against then-No. 14 Stanford.
