Guy, Killeya-Jones To Attend Duke Game

UVa class of 2016 commitments Kyle Guy (combo guard, Lawrence Central HS in Indianapolis (IN)) and Sacha Killeya-Jones (forward, Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA)) will be among the basketball recruits in attendance as UVa hosts Duke tonight in a big-time ACC matchup at John Paul Jones Arena.

Iona Prep (New Rochelle, N.Y.) point guard Ty Jerome, who has also committed to UVa’s class of 2016, wanted to attend but has a game.

Sophomore point guard Matt Coleman of Maury (Norfolk, VA) is also expected to attend. He has been offered by Virginia and is considered a top target of head coach Tony Bennett and company. Corey Evans of NY2LASports reported that Coleman will attend.

Other expected visitors include…

– 6’9″ forward Javin Montgomery-DeLaurier, junior out of St. Anne’s-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA). UVa has not yet offered but continues to give a serious look.

– Class of 2017 guard Marquis Godwin of Hampton, Virginia. Godwin has not yet received an offer from UVa but is definitely on the radar. He has been to Charlottesville several times.

– Per Corey Evans, class of 2017 sophomore shooting guard Jordan Cross will attend as well. Cross hails from the Millwood School in Midlothian, Virginia.

In addition to these basketball recruits, a number of football targets are expected to attend UVa football’s Junior Day today. At least two of UVa’s three class of 2016 commits — WRs Cole Blackman and Joseph Reed — plan to attend. Star junior cornerback Levonta Taylor and a number of other Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) products are expected to attend.

Stay tuned to TheSabre for a rundown of the players we confirm to be in attendance for that event as well.
