Killeya-Jones Helps VES Advance
UVa-bound forward Sacha Killeya-Jones scored 21 points as Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA) downed Walsingham Academy (Williamsburg, VA), 81-71, in the quarterfinals of the VISAA Division II state playoffs on Wednesday. The Bishops overcame a 13-point first half deficit to get the win. VES meets Millwood (Richmond, VA) in the semifinals tomorrow evening at Virginia State University in Petersburg.
Following his team’s win, Killeya-Jones, a 6’10” junior, chimed in with a tweet regarding UVa’s 36-point win over Wake Forest last night.

Guy Scores 30 In Regular Season Finale
Junior combo guard and UVa commit Kyle Guy scored 30 points as Lawrence Central (Indianapolis, IN) defeated Broad Ripple, 78-45, on Tuesday night. This was the regular season finale for LCHS, which is 10-12 heading into the postseason.
Lawrence Central next faces Roncalli in the Sectional 10 playoffs on Tuesday, March 3.
Iona Prep Gets Postseason Win
Iona Prep (New Rochelle, N.Y.) defeated St. Peter’s, 64-53, in CHSAA “AA” Archdiocesan semifinals on Tuesday night. UVa guard commit Ty Jerome, a junior and one of Iona Prep’s top players, missed the semifinal with a hip flexor and may miss Saturday’s championship against St. Raymond as well.
Following the CHSAA title, Iona Prep will move on to the Intersectional tournament. As a result of the win over St. Peter’s, the Gaels (20-8) have a double-bye in the intersectional tourney and won’t play until the March 8 quarterfinals.
Brewster Takes Lakes Region League Title
Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.) defeated Tilton School, 87-83, to capture the 2015 Lakes Region League Championship. UVa power forward recruit Jarred Reuter had 13 points in the victory.
Brewster Academy then blew away Bridgton Academy, 98-51, to finish the regular season with a 29-1 record. Brewster is the no. 1 seed in the NEPSAC Class AAA tournament. After a bye, Jason Smith’s squad will take the court in the semifinals on March 8.
UVa Eyes Williamsburg Christian Wing
According to Vantage Hoops, UVa is giving Williamsburg Christian (Williamsburg, VA) shooting guard/small forward Xavier Green a look. Green is a 6’6″, 175-pound junior. Old Dominion headlines a handful of offers he has received thus far.
