With preseason practices on the horizon, last week’s poll question was a simple one for the preseason. How Many Wins Will The Virginia Football Team Achieve This Season?

As many fans probably expected after three straight losing seasons, the majority of voters fell heavily on the sub-.500 side of the 12-game schedule. In total, 630 out of 937 votes (67%) predicted another losing record for the Hoos. Four wins received the most votes with 231 (25%). Three wins finished second in the poll with 173 votes (18%). Also, 148 votes (16%) predicted five wins.

Still, there are hopeful Hoos out there still. The third highest total in the poll was 152 votes (16%) being cast for six wins. Another 98 votes (10%) predicted seven wins for Virginia this season. The most hopeful, though? Three votes were cast for 15 wins, which would mean an undefeated National Championship run.
