UVA Offers Star Shooting Guard Lonnie Walker IV

Lonnie Walker IV, a 6’5″, 195-pound shooting guard rated a 5-star by Scout.com and 247Sports.com, has become the latest class of 2017 prospect offered by the University of Virginia.

Virginia, which has only one scholarship available in the 2017 Class, is the latest high-major offer for Walker IV, who previously landed offers from Connecticut, Indiana, Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Syracuse, Temple, UCLA, Villanova and West Virginia.

The Reading (PA) star was named the 2016 Boys Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania following a junior season in which he averaged 16.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.7 blocks per game. Reading went 28-3 in 2015/2016, reaching the AAAA state semifinals in the process.
