Class Of 2017 Wing Corey Kispert Recaps UVA, Notre Dame Trips

King’s (Seattle, WA) class of 2017 shooting guard/small forward prospect Corey Kispert will fly from Seattle to Spokane (WA) today for the beginning of an official visit at Gonzaga University. The 45-minute flight is a stark contrast to Kispert’s travels last week, when he traveled across the country to see two ACC programs.

Notre Dame was the first school to host the 6’6”, 225-pound Kispert on an official visit last week. Immediately following that trip, the Scout.com 4-star standout headed to UVA for an official.

Of UVA, Kispert said: “First, Charlottesville is beautiful out there this time of year. It reminded me a lot of Seattle. We had dinner with the coaches and a few players the first night. I got the lay of the land a little bit. The next day we went around and toured the campus and met with the Athletic Director and strength coach. I watched the players workout a little bit. I got to play some 3-on-3 with the guys after they were finished lifting. After that, we went and had dinner at coach Bennett’s house and I got to hang out with most of the team.”

Of the three schools at the top of Kispert’s list, only UVA, which has one scholarship at its disposal in the 2017 Class, has not offered a scholarship. Coach Bennett spoke with Seattle star about his standing with the Cavaliers.
