On the final day of play of the 2016 Nike EYBL, Session 3, 5-star small forward Michael Porter Jr. fought through an ankle injury to help MOKAN Elite gain a spot in the Peach Jam, Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) class of 2017 point guard Chris Lykes continued to show his offensive prowess with a 24-point performance for Team Takeover, and Team Final class of 2017 combo guard Lonnie Walker IV helped Team Final to a win over BABC. I caught up with all three players — all three have been offered by UVA — for recruiting updates following their games.

LYKES SCHEDULES TWO OFFICIALS

Chris Lykes has scheduled an official visit to Miami for the weekend of June 3-5. The following weekend, the reigning WCAC Player of the Year will head to Villanova for an official visit. As of now, these are the only two officials he has set. From UVA’s standpoint, the obvious hope is he doesn’t commit to one of these two schools and decides to further explore Charlottesville.
