Darrius Bratton Sees “Blessing” In UVA Commitment

When Darrius Bratton first committed to play football at the University of Virginia, he called it “like a dream come true.” Those feelings didn’t change for Bratton even with a year of prep school on his plate and new coaches making the offer for UVA.

Bratton originally committed to the Cavaliers in the summer of 2015 with Mike London still at the helm. By Signing Day in February, London was out with Bronco Mendenhall taking the reins of the Virginia program and Bratton was on his way to Fork Union Military Academy in the fall. Despite the twists and turns in his recruitment, he still wanted to be a Hoo and he pledged to the program again in June.

“It felt like home ever since I stepped foot on campus,” Bratton wrote in a message of his decision to commit to Virginia again with Mendenhall’s staff now in place.
