Totally inept. Boise has been running the same offense with short, wide passes for many years, yet the defense looked bewildered. Just pitiful. So bad that I elected to spend the second half driving to Virginia Beach in the rain.
On a related note, is there any “major college” team easier to fool than Virginia? Onside kicks to start the second half, fake field goals, double passes and “pass backs,” etc. The all-time worst, however, has to be when they were fooled on fake punts TWICE IN THE SAME QUARTER in a home game against a team from Wyoming. Wyoming! FREE beer at Scott Stadium may be the only hope.
