Notes: Vince Hall is not just one of the top players in the state this year; he's one of the best in the country, making Superprep's All-American list. He's a physical talent who also brings a cerebral approach to the game. "He has a wonderful instinctive nature," says Western Branch Coach Lew Johnston. "He has a knack for reading the play and is truly a student of the game. He makes adjustments on the run, during the play. Plus he is one of the fastest players on the field with a great quick start. Vince is an outstanding closer as well."

Hall is an outstanding student who takes honors classes and should have no trouble qualifying. "I try to be both methodical and aggressive," said Hall of his playing style. "I try to recognize what is going on and react to it. I like using my mind."

As a senior, Hall earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors in the state of Virginia. He had 121 tackles, nine sacks, three interceptions, forced three fumbles and recoverd two fumbles from his linebacker position. Hall was named to the first-team All-Tidewater team and first-team All-State at the linebacker position. He was also named second-team All-State at the tight end position.
