With football season fast approaching, the Hoo Preview will provide some opponent snapshots in the coming days.
First up: UCLA. The Cavaliers host the Bruins on August 30 for a noon kickoff. The game is scheduled for ESPN. UCLA is the third Pac-12 team to visit Scott Stadium in recent years. After USC and Oregon threw up lopsided wins, the Hoos hope the third time is the charm for getting a victory.
Quarterback Brett Hundley is the headliner as a Heisman Trophy candidate. In 2012, he set school records for single-season completions (318), single-season passing yardage (3,740), and single-season total offense (4,095 yards). Hundley has thrown for or run for a touchdown in each of his 27 career games with the Bruins.
