With football season fast approaching, the Hoo Preview will provide some opponent snapshots in the coming days.

For many, the most frustrating part of Mike London’s tenure at Virginia is that he’s 0-for against the Hoos’ chief rivals at North Carolina and Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers haven’t really even been close in their match-ups with UNC either. The Tar Heels won 44-10 in 2010, 28-17 in 2011, 37-13 in 2012, and 45-14 in 2013. That’s a combined 154-54. Yuck.

The ACC Kickoff media picked UNC to finish fourth in the Coastal Division this season. A pair of sophomores that gave UVa fits last season is back to lead the way. Quarterback Marquise Williams and receiver Quinshad Davis each threw and caught a touchdown pass in last season’s rout in Chapel Hill.

Whatever happens this season, it’s safe to say that Virginia fans would like to hand a loss to UNC again for the first time since 2009. A closer look at the Tar Heels follows.
