I was asked on the board a week or two ago whether I was going to be writing the “Things” articles this year. My answer?

I’m going to do my best but this year is going to be a challenge for me. I have a crazy schedule this fall. Really, an insane schedule. But it is the schedule I have and I have to do the best I can to deal with it. It won’t be easy. Some weeks, I will be able to pull it off, even when I didn’t think I could. Other weeks, it just will be too much for me to pull off. I will do the best I can but some weeks, I am going to come up short …

… and now that I think about it, I suppose I could say the exact same thing about the UVA football team this fall. This week, the Hoos didn’t quite pull it off but they made it interesting.
