C.J. Stalker has signed a grant-in-aid with the University of Virginia, becoming the second class of 2015 prospect to do so. The 6’3”, 230-pound linebacker prospect will join Grant Polk, an offensive line recruit out of Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida, in enrolling at UVa next month.

Stalker, whose final day at Lakota West High School (West Chester, OH) is December 19, leaves for Charlottesville on January 6. He signed his scholarship papers while on an official visit on Grounds this past weekend.

“It was a really cool experience,” Stalker said of his UVa official visit. “I got to spend some more time with Coach Tenuta. We had a meeting on Saturday afternoon. It was only supposed to be a half hour, but it ended up going two-and-a-half hours. We watched film and went over schemes and things like that. I spent time with Zach Bradshaw (C.J.’s player host), Micah Kiser and Conner Wingo-Reeves. Those guys are so laid back. They are really cool guys. I thought I fit in well with the students. Everyone there is so nice. The people of the town of Charlottesville are so nice. They go out of their way to help.”

Stalker committed before his senior season but took his time in the recruiting process, making visits and thoroughly evaluating each school. He decided to become a Wahoo. He was solid in his commitment, but he was also pleased to hear the news that head coach Mike London was returning for a sixth season.
