Class of 2016 standout Joseph Reed has made his college choice but has another school choice to make before the start of his senior year. Reed, a top wide receiver prospect who verbally committed to the University of Virginia last summer, plans to transfer from Randolph-Henry High School (Charlotte Court House, VA) to an in-state private school following his junior year.

“Fuqua, Liberty Christian Academy, Benedictine,” Reed listed when asked what private schools he is considering making the move to.

Reed hopes to have made his choice by April. Asked why he is transferring, he said: “It’ll help me get ready for college academically and athletically.”

Including Reed, New Jersey quarterback Sonny Abramson and Glen Allen (VA) wide receiver Cole Blackman, Virginia football has three commitments so far in the class of 2016. Reed has not wavered in his pledge and hopes to help head coach Mike London and company add more talented recruits to the fold.
