Virginia quarterback Matt Johns is remarkably comfortable for someone in a pressure-packed position.

Johns, after all, is the starter with no proven backup on a team in the midst of a three-year bowless streak with a coach on the hot seat. It would be understandable if he felt a little heat, but Johns possesses the ability to stay in the moment and stay focused.

That same Teflon quality helps Johns ignore any naysayers too. It’s why he’s able to brush off concerns about everything from completion percentage (54.9% in 2014) to arm strength, the latter of which is the most repeated weakness among critics.

Johns simply says that sort of thing comes with the territory.
