UVA offensive coordinator Robert Anae and offensive line coach Garett Tujague traveled to Mishawaka (IN) last week to meet with Penn High School offensive line prospect Ben Knutson, who verbally committed to Virginia last May.

“It went really well,” Knutson said of the visit. “They were able to meet my family. My parents were able to be more comfortable with them. They even came to watch a little of my basketball practice.”

Knutson says he has heard from “a few schools, especially the schools the (former) Virginia coaches ended up at,” but “right now I’m 100-percent solid” to UVA.

“I’m just excited to go out on my official,” Knutson continued. He and his family plan to drive to Charlottesville this Friday for the start of his official visit, which will last until Sunday. “It was nice to be able to meet some of the coaches in person. It will be nice to be able to meet Coach Mendenhall in person this weekend. Just being able to meet with the [recruits] again will be nice. We’ll continue to build relationships. That’s definitely important.”
