Buena Park (CA) senior offensive tackle Ryan Nelson is impressed with the University of Virginia’s football coaches as well as the school’s historical significance. How does he feel on Grounds and around the team? That question will be answered when he heads to Charlottesville for an official visit the weekend of September 23-25.

“I like the staff,” Nelson wrote in an interview over Twitter direct message. “I want to teach history and UVA has a great history in just the school.”

Nelson and Cavalier offensive line coach Garett Tujague’s strong relationship began around two years ago, when Tujague and head coach Bronco Mendenhall were still at BYU.

“I talk to Coach Tujague almost every day,” Nelson noted. “[The Virginia coaches] seem really caring about their athletes. I’ve been talking to Coach Tujague for around two years now and I’ve never heard anything bad about him.”
