Virginia Basketball Recruiting: Top 100 Review

The NBPA Top 100 Camp wrapped up another run at Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena this past week. Many of the country’s top high school basketball players took part in the event that ended Saturday. The camp concluded with a tournament and the Heat defeated the Rockets, 109-89.

As is usually the case with Tony Bennett’s now elite program, several of the players in attendance have drawn the interest of UVA’s coaches. That included co-MVP’s Tremont Waters, a 2017 point guard that led the Rockets to the tournament title game, and Zion Williamson, a 2018 forward that led the Heat to the championship. Both players have Virginia offers.

Waters averaged a camp-leading 5.6 assists. He also hit this shot to lift the Rockets into the tournament final.
