The Virginia basketball team closed out the regular season on a three-game winning streak thanks to a 15-point win against Pittsburgh on Saturday. The Double Bonus is back to take a look at the finale.
UVA fans have gotten used to a strong finish to the regular season in recent years. This marked the fourth straight season that the Hoos played well down the stretch to set up postseason play.
- 2016-17: 3 straight wins
- 2015-16: 3 straight wins and 4 of 5
- 2014-15: 9 of 10
- 2013-14: 13 of 14
As a result, the Cavaliers will make their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance later this month. The only other time that happened? 1981-1984. These are good times indeed.
