State’s Top WR Makes Visit

Hampton High School’s talented wide receiver prospect Todd Nolen, who is one of the top remaining uncommitted players in the state of Virginia, made an unofficial visit this past weekend to the University of Virginia for the Miami game. It was his first experience at a college football game…how did it go?

“It was real exciting to be in front of all of those people,” Nolen said. “I was hoping Virginia would win, but that’s all right. It was a good experience.”

Nolen, who had spoken last week about possibly making a commitment to UVa while on the Saturday visit, did not make a decision. A decision is still likely to come soon, as he expects to decide before the end of his senior season. Hampton plays Booker T. Washington High School in the first round of the playoffs this weekend.

“No, I don’t think it will take that long,” Nolen replied when asked if he thought he would wait until after the playoffs were over to make a decision. “I’m close to it but haven’t made a decision yet. I’m not ready yet.”
