Harrisburg (PA) tailback Mikell Simpson completed his 3rd official visit in as many weekends, as he took an official visit to the University of Alabama on the weekend of the Iron Bowl versus Auburn. How did the 6-1, 185-pound prospect like his most recent trip?

“The visit was great,” Simpson said. He arrived on Friday and left on Sunday. “Everything was good. It was exciting when I first got there [on Friday]. There were already like 1,000 people tailgating. The atmosphere was unbelievable down there. The fans were crazy – from both sides.”

Simpson stated what stood out the most on his experience.

“I really liked the facilities,” Simpson said. He was hosted by sophomore fullback Tim Castille. “They have like 5 practice fields – 4 outdoor and 1 indoor. They have a huge weight room facility. They have so much support down there. It’s really a football city. All of the fans knew who I was. I lost my nametag and they still recognized me. Also, all the coaches are cool. They were up front in answering all the questions I had. The players and the coaches were stressing the need they had for a running back. That’s good that it’s not something the coaches are saying to get you there – the players feel like they need a tailback. They are slim in that area.”
