Has Situation Changed with Pitts?

When North Hall (Gainesville, GA) tailback recruit T.J. Pitts made his official visit to the University of Virginia on the weekend of November 6th, he was informed that he would need to prep first if he decided to sign with Coach Groh and company. Has UVa changed its stance?

“I think they want to put him in Hargrave,” North Hall Head Coach Bob Christmas said. “The Dean said they needed him to go to prep school for a year. I kind of saw it coming because he’s barely qualified right now.”

Is there a possibility that UVa may rethink that stance if Pitts improves his academics?

“Well, he took the ACT on Saturday,” North Hall Head Coach Bob Christmas said. “I guess it’s a possibility although they haven’t said anything like that to me. Plus I think they’d like him to have another Math, too.”
