2005 Commonwealth Classic All-Star Game

The Commonwealth Classic is pleased to announce the 2005 Commonwealth Classic All-Star Teams. This year’s game will be played at the Alltel Pavilion at the Siegel Center on the Campus of Virginia Commonwealth University. The link below provides a list of rosters for the National game, which pits the National All-Stars versus the Virginia All-Stars.

The National All-Stars are led by several ACC recruits including guards Denis Clemente (Miami), Courtney Fells (N.C. State) and Marcus Ginyard (North Carolina), power forward Kevin Swinton (Wake Forest) and center David Weaver (Wake Forest). The Virginia team will feature University of Virginia guard/forward recruit Mamadi Diane , UVa power forward recruit Laurynas Mikalauskas and Virginia Tech power forward Terrance Vinson . South Kent Prep (CT) center Andrey Blatche, a 5-star prospect who may enter the 2005 NBA Draft, and guard Calvin Baker, a William & Mary recruit who helped Woodside (Norfolk, VA) capture the 2005 state championship.

Events open with the Old Dominion Challenge to be played at 6:15 on the night of April 1. The rosters for this game can be found here. The National game will follow at roughly 8:00-8:15. Tickets for the event are reserved seating only and can be purchased through the VCU Ticket Office at 804.828.7267. Reserved seats are $10.
