Of LaMarcus Bond ’s 30 touchdowns last season, the one that stands out the most to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC) head coach Greg Watford occurred during the second round of the playoffs versus White Oak. According to Watford, “LaMarcus was surrounded by four White Oak players. He came to a complete stop, gave three quick jukes and then left all four grasping for air on his way to a 40-plus yard touchdown run.”

Bond is a threat to score on offense, defense and special teams. In fact, he scored from all three areas last season.

“LaMarcus scored 30 touchdowns last season – 18 rushing, four receiving, four punt returns, two kick-off returns, one interception return and one fumble return,” Watford said. “LaMarcus has lined up at quarterback, receiver, fullback, tailback, wingback and as a slot in our flex bone offense and has scored from all these positions.”

Bond admits “I don’t run over people (laughs),” but he doesn’t have to. He was timed at 4.4 in the 40-yard dash and posted a 38-inch vertical leap at the Army All-American combine in San Antonio, Texas. He ran a 4.19 shuttle at the Nike combine in Blacksburg just a few weeks ago.
