Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD) linebacker Nekos Brown landed official offer number two this week. The 6-3, 225-pound prospect already held an offer from the University of Virginia. With interest coming last month from Maryland, Marshall, Miami, Miami of Ohio, Michigan State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech, which is the second school to extend an offer?

“I got an offer from Virginia Tech,” Brown said. “I’m really thankful for the offer. I only talked to a couple coaches from Virginia Tech. I haven’t talked to coach Beamer, yet. They want me to come down in July. They want me to come down to meet all the coaches and check out the campus.”

Brown, who believes North Carolina and Pittsburgh are both close to offering as well, learned of his latest offer on the final day of the evaluation period.

“The last day they were able to call was May 31st,” Brown said. “I was talking to coach [Tony] Ball for an hour. He said the whole coaching staff sat down and saw my tape and coach Beamer said it was a done deal.”
