ACC’s Impact Players: Top 5 Freshmen

Every team in the ACC has talented players, valuable players, important players. But which players will make the biggest impact in the conference in 2005?

We’ve already discussed the top five “impact” players in the senior, junior, and sophomore classes. Today we look at the incoming freshmen who will be making waves for years to come.

Fred Rouse

Florida State wide receiver – 6-4, 195

Florida State has been a factory for NFL wide receivers and the next big time Seminole burner is Fred Rouse. A gifted wide receiver with exceptional size, Rouse was also one of the top punt and kickoff returners in Florida high school football. He’s got explosive speed, and in addition to top-notch ball skills, he executes the over the middle, deep and short routes with precision. Rouse has true take-it-to-the-house capability. Rouse will remind ACC fans of his predecessor Craphonso Thorpe, but he is a more polished receiver at this stage of his career and is a more consistent pass catcher.
