Al Groh and company continued their success in the state of New Jersey. Last night, Virginia picked up commitment number six from the Garden State. And the commitment comes at a position of need in the 2006 recruiting class, which now includes 16 total verbal commitments.
Virginia’s latest verbal is from Darnell Carter , a 6-1 ½, 225-pound linebacker prospect out of Morrow High School in Englewood, New Jersey.
“That’s affirmative,” Morrow head football coach Bill Davis confirmed when asked if Carter had committed to UVa. Carter picked up an offer on Sunday and committed the same night.
