While Sam Zeglinski will not be able to play for UVa until the 2007-2008 season, his verbal commitment certainly gets Dave Leitao’s 2007 class off to a great start. Rated a 4-star prospect by Scout.com, the 6-0, 165-pound Zeglinski is one of the top point guard prospects in the 2007 class.

Zeglinski decided to commit to the ‘Hoos before heading home to Philadelphia (PA) from this past weekend’s unofficial visit. It was this Philly standout’s second unofficial visit to UVa in as many months. This time, his parents came down to Charlottesville as well.

“We all liked the campus and we figured it’s not going to get better than Virginia, so I decided to commit,” said Zeglinski, who also noted that the John Paul Jones Arena was a “big factor” in his decision as well.
