In what was certainly good news for Virginia, 6-8, 225-pound power forward prospect Johnnie Lett changed his mind about waiting to make his decision and verbally committed to the ‘Hoos last weekend. TheSabre.com caught up with the Ben C. Rain High School (Mobile, AL) star to discuss what went into his decision as well as what he expects to bring to the team in 2006.

After talking with family and his head coach, Lett went ahead and committed to Coach Leitao and Coach Seymour last Saturday.

“Well, me, my parents and my coach talked about it,” Lett said. “They wanted me to play in a tough conference. The ACC is a tough conference and I really liked Virginia on my visit, so I went on and committed.”
