6-4, 235-pound George Johnson has helped Glassboro (N.J.) to a 7-0 record in 2005. One of the team’s leaders, Johnson is a big-play receiver who is averaging 27 yards per catch and is an important part of a defense that has recorded three shutouts and has held the opposition to under double-digit points in all but one game.

“It’s going as planned,” Johnson said of his senior season. “We’re 7-0 right now. The only thing we have to do is to be more disciplined. We have too many penalties in each game and it’s really killing us. The games that we should blow teams out, we’re only winning by like two or three scores.”

Johnson plays tight end on offense and is a stand-up defensive end in Coach Herb Neilio’s 5-2 defense.
