Brennan Schmidt may become UVa’s first 50-game starter.

Midway through the second quarter last Saturday, Brennan Schmidt took a helmet to his right thigh and hobbled off the field with a deep bruise. On the next series, he was back in the game. Last year, when his shoulder kept popping out of place and despite often-excruciating pain, Schmidt never missed a game. The guy never misses a game.
