AP Report #9: Alvin Pearman Rookie Diary

Alvin Pearman’s Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 6-3, good enough for second place in the AFC South behind the undefeated Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars have played the third-most difficult schedule in the AFC and currently hold the sixth playoff spot as a wild card. They have the advantage in both tiebreakers with the fifth-place team, Cincinnati, having defeated the Bengals 23-20 as well as owning a superior 5-2 conference mark.

Pearman leads the Jaguars with 29 punt returns for 236 yards. He is third on the team with 122 yards rushing on 29 carries and is the team’s fifth-leading receiver with 19 receptions for 137 yards. He has also returned seven kickoffs for an average of 23.7 yards, tops on the team. In this week’s diary, he talks briefly about the current season but spends most of his time talking about the big game this weekend between the ‘Hoos and Hokies.
