Every team in the ACC has talented players, valuable players, and big-play performers. But which players will make the biggest impact in the conference for their respective team this season? This doesn’t necessarily answer “Who is the best player?”, rather it tackles “Who has the biggest impact?” on their team. Which players’ individual performances could be the difference between winning and losing, BCS Bowl or Nut Bowl.

In The Sabre.com’s ongoing preview of the ACC football season, we take a look in this four-part series on the top impact players in the conference. Today we look at the freshmen (true and redshirt) that could make the biggest impact for their teams. Of course, forecasting freshmen performances is a bit like predicting the weather – surely we’ll be right with some, but with others … partly cloudy is a safe bet, right?
