Last weekend, Chase Minnifield showed exactly why he is rated a four-star recruit. The 6-0, 185-pound do-everything standout scored all four of Henry Clay’s touchdowns in a 28-14 win at Bell County High School. For the game, he finished with 140 yards and three touchdowns on the ground and added 36 yards and one touchdown receiving in what was an outstanding performance.

“My senior year, I didn’t want to start off going 2-1,” Minnifield said. “I want to stay undefeated as long as possible and hopefully we can keep it going throughout the season. We went into halftime down 14-6, so our coach said he was going to put the ball in my hands. I just took it and ran with it.”

In a given game, the star out of Lexington (KY) will see time at quarterback (he has specific plays set for his talents), running back and wide receiver. Defensively, he plays safety – a change from last season, when he played cornerback. Minnifield gives it all for his team and he works hard to be able to do this.
