In talking to several high school coaches from Virginia Beach regarding some of the top juniors in the area, one name that kept coming up was First Colonial running back Tony Gregory . In talking to First Colonial head coach Jae Clark, expect Gregory, who turned in a solid junior season, to get a whole lot more touches in 2007.

“He’ll probably have the chance to be the best back I’ve ever coached,” Clark said. “He’s tough to bring down. He’s got some speed. He can run away from you. If he breaks a tackle, look out.”

Gregory is currently about 5-11, about 180 to 185 pounds according to Clark. As a junior this past season, he rushed for 979 yards on 139 carries, averaging seven yards per carry while only fumbling twice throughout the entire year.
